Hurricane Ophelia tried her best to prevent our trip going ahead but we prevailed! The TY group set out from the school on Tuesday with Mr. Kehoe and Mr. Cawley. When we arrived we left our bags in our dorms and headed off to our first activity called the crystal maze. That night we had to do the Trust Walk on the Night Line. We had a delicious meal of spaghetti bolognaise and ice cream which went down really well. We got loads of sleep on the first night!! Neither teacher had to ask us to stay quiet and we slept like logs! Next day we got up really refreshed and headed off Kayaking in the bay. Some of us were moved to tears with this challenge. Dry land never looked so good for some! That evening we did zip lining. Did exactly what it said on the tin! Another great night of refreshing (sleep for the teachers!). We helped rearrange the furniture in the centre that evening. All agreed it looked better. Next morning we awoke to rain and dragged ourselves off to Laser tag. That was great fun! Not everyone understood the rules!!Then we went zip lining again and took part in Archery too. We got back on the bus and suffice it to say the journey back was quieter than the journey there! Definitely worth the wait! We had a fantastic trip! We were told we were the best group they ever had there!
