This week TY students welcomed Mr. Brian O'Farrell, CEO of Carlow Chamber of Commerce, to the school. As part of their Enterprise Course the students got the opportunity to learn more about initiatives and governance of local businesses and companies in our locality. Mr. O'Farrell's workshop and presentation gave an insight into the realities of running a business in Carlow in 2017. The students learned firsthand the value of "shopping local" and the impact our custom & support has on jobs and businesses here in Carlow town. The workshop also dealt with the promotional aspect of "Love Carlow" and the current "Carlow at Christmas" Campaign. A very worthwhile event & our thanks to Brian O'Farrell fro taking the time to come into the school to meet TYs.
